Man shot to death in Dorchester

Boston Police report a man in his 20s was shot to death outside 15 Shepton St. shortly after midnight. He was declared dead at the scene.

Stanley Staco reports he was shot repeatedly.

I seem to remember that there was another incident at the corner of Shepton and Dot Ave not too long ago....it's a shame since the neighborhood seems to be on the upswing.

I'd agree this neighborhood is on the upswing. I live a few streets up on King St and it's usually a pretty quiet area, though still not uncommon to see sketchy characters wandering Dot Ave and there does seem to be an incident like this once every year or so.

THE COPS NEED TO DO A SWEEP BECAUSE I KNOW IT'S A NEW GANG AROUND THAT AREA CALLED THE MAVERICKS OR SOME SHIT. BUT IF THEY DID A SWEEP WITH THEM AND WAINWRIGHT PARK GANG THEN IT WOULD BE A LOT LESS VIOLENCE DON'T GET ME WRONG IM NOT SAYING IT'S THE COPS FAULT AT ALL IM JUST SAYING IT WOULD PROBABLY STOP A LOT OF SHIT OUT THERE ACTUALLY I KNOW FOR A FACT IT WOULD STOP A LOT OF WHAT'S GOING ON

I'll bet if people stopped shouting and instead engaged in rational discourse it would lessen the violence.
