Roxbury man charged with shooting gun in the South End
Boston Police report officers responding to a report of gunfire at 96 W. Newton St. around 7:20 p.m. yesterday quickly found a guy not far away who matched witnesses' description of the shooter.
Officers stopped the male and while speaking with him, a 9mm ammunition casing fell from his pocket. Simultaneously, officers canvassing the area for discarded evidence observed a loaded black 9mm Ruger P95DAO with a high capacity feeding device in a gap between a nearby building and porch.
Police initially charged Isaac Almedarez, 19, with unlawful possession of ammunition and with trespassing - seems the BHA had already given him a written notice to stay away from the property. But then he spilled the beans about firing a gun during booking and was additionally charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a large-capacity feeding device and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, police say.
Innocent, etc.

Why you picking on Roxbury?
The police report has three people arrested. They are from Roxbury, JP, and Dedham. Of the three the guy from Dedham had 3 guns. That would seem like the most "news" worthy of the choices. Thanks.
Because he's the only one who actually fired a gun
Which seems a bit more serious than simply possessing it.
