Dorchester man charged with holding up Lower Mills bank
A Suffolk County grand jury this week indicted Hendrick Davis, 33, on a charge of holding up the Meetinghouse Bank branch at 2250 Dorchester Ave. at gunpoint on Jan. 6, the state Attorney General's office reports.
Davis allegedly made off with $2,315, prosecutors say:
The AG’s investigation revealed that Davis, who was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and sunglasses, allegedly showed the bank teller the handle of what appeared to be a firearm and demanded money. Davis allegedly told the teller not to use dye packs or buttons and that he had a gun after throwing a bag at the teller to collect the cash.
Following the robbery, Davis allegedly fled the bank in a rental car. Authorities later located Davis the next day at Logan Airport where he was attempting to rent another car. He was arrested at that time on a warrant unrelated to the bank robbery. Following his arrest, authorities found that Davis had approximately $522 in cash with him.
Innocent, etc.
