Police: Man with loaded gun was being driven around Roxbury

Boston Police report a traffic stop at Harold and Hollander streets early Sunday ended with a man under arrest and the seizure of a gun with one bullet in it and a magazine with 14 more rounds.

Police say officers on patrol noticed a car coming towards them without an inspection sticker - and windows possibly tinted too dark - around 1:20 a.m. Police say they ordered the driver to pull over and, because they couldn't see into the car because of the tint, to roll the windows down:

Officers immediately observed the front passenger, later identified as Jordan Young to be extremely nervous, breathing heavily and avoiding eye contact with officers. Based on his behavior, officers believed that Mr. Young may be armed with a weapon.

Officers removed Mr. Young from the motor vehicle to begin a pat frisk in the area of the vehicle where Mr. Young was seated. Officers immediately observed a Sig Sauer high capacity magazine in the glove compartment. Officers announced the presence of the magazine and the probability of a firearm being present in the vehicle. For safety reasons, officers performed an additional pat frisk of Mr. Young and immediately recovered a firearm from his waistband. The firearm was a Sig Sauer Model P320, with 1 live round in the chamber and 14 rounds in the magazine.

Young was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, unlawful possession of a large-capacity feeding device and carrying a loaded firearm without a license, police say.

Innocent, etc.

Have a mandatory sentence in Boston for being found guilty of possessing an illegal firearm in the City of Boston. If we do how long is it?

Being nervous when you're stopped by police is not a crime.

It's also something cops can declare to be a fact without any supporting evidence. I.e. a great way to get to search someone without actual just cause.

And the police make a big deal about it when they search someone and find a gun, but there's no press release when they harass an innocent person.
