Boston Police report arresting an alleged multi-tool woman early this morning on charges she attacked a man in a drug deal gone awry on Chauncy Street.
According to police, Aljamelia Warner, 43, first attacked the man with a bamboo stick on Chauncy Street, near Avenue de Lafayette, around 3:40 a.m.
A witness in the area stated the suspect and the victim were negotiating a drug transaction when the suspect became aggressive, striking the victim with a bamboo stick. The witness further stated the victim struck the suspect in the face before the suspect retaliated by stabbing the victim with the box cutter.
The victim, who preferred not to talk to police at all, was taken to a local hospital for treatment and is expected to survive. Police say officers found Warner a couple blocks away, at Harrison Avenue and Beach Street.
The box cutter was recovered when officers were placing the suspect into handcuffs and she dropped the weapon.
Warner was formally charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, police say.
