Man shot to death on Thane Street in Dorchester

Update: Victim identified as Malik Gabbidon, 19, of Jamaica Plain.

Boston Police report a man was shot around 1:50 a.m. at 26 Thane St. in Dorchester. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

This 19 year old was a former student of mine and a classmate of my younger child, who just wrapped up her freshman year of college. Why are our kids still "young people", and Black 19 year olds are men?
