Police: Trio of out of towners were speeding down Gallivan Boulevard with a couple of loaded guns
Boston Police report officers arrested two men from Malden and one from North Adams on gun charges after a traffic stop on Gallivan Boulevard just past the intersection with Morton Street early this morning.
Police report officers on patrol around 12:45 a.m. spotted a car doing at least 40 m.p.h., 10 m.p.h. over the speed limit. They decided to pull the car over just past Ellison Avenue after a check showed the owner of the car had his insurance revoked last fall.
Driver Wensley Plaisir, 21, of Malden, was then placed under arrest after a further check after the stop showed he was driving with a suspended license, police say.
During an inventory of the motor vehicle officers recovered a Glock 43, 9mm along with a magazine containing eleven rounds and a loaded Ruger P89 Sturm Ruger 9mm, with 6 rounds in the magazine behind the driver’s seat. Officers also recovered a clear plastic bag containing thirty-four assorted multi-colored pill from Daeshawn Maurice’s waist band.
Plaisir was charged with operating after revocation or suspension, unlawful possession of a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, unlawful possession of ammunition and unlawful possession of a large-capacity feeding device, police say.
Maurice, 21, of Malden was charged with possession of Ecstasy with intent to distribute, police say.
A third man in the car, Jordan Bridgeman-Dicks, 19, of North Andover, unlawful possession of a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, unlawful possession of ammunition and unlawful possession of a large-capacity feeding device, police say.
