Gunfire on Albany Street across from Boston Medical Center

Around 9:15 p.m. in the area of 774 Albany St. A bullet went through a window at 780 Albany St. A suspect was detained on Harrison Avenue near East Concord Street, on the other side of the BMC campus.

Update: Boston Police report charging Daniel Santana, 39, for the gunfire.

Officers stopped Santana and recovered a loaded Star SA firearm with one round in the chamber and six rounds in the magazine from a fanny pack that Santana was wearing.

He was safely placed under arrest and charged with; Unlawful Possession of Firearm, Unlawfully Possession of Ammunition, Firearm with Altered Serial Numbers; Possession and Firearm Discharged Within 500 Feet of a Dwelling.
