Bullets fired into two homes in Quincy Street area in Dorchester; man arrested afterward on ammo charge

Shortly before 2:30 p.m. on Monday, a bullet was fired into a home on Trent Street Dorchester and another one into a home nearby on Quincy Street, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's office.

The Trent Street bullet came through a rear window, the Quincy Street one through a front window, the DA's office says.

Not long after, police arrested Yulial Cuello-Reynoso, 31, of Leominster in connection with the gunfire, which also damaged a Jeep and which left two bullets and part of a third on a sewer cover at Quincy and Coleman streets. However, he was charged initially only with possession of ammunition at his arraignment in Dorchester Municipal Court, at which he was then ordered held in lieu of $30,000 bail, the DA's office reports.

According to the DA's office:

A witness told police that a white pickup truck had fled the scene, and provided a description of the suspect. Officers nearby observed a motor vehicle fitting that description idling with its brake lights activated. The driver, later identified as Cuello-Reynoso, fit the description provided by the witness. A frisk of the vehicle yielded both live and spent casings on the driver's side floor and in other areas of the vehicle.

Detectives pulled security camera footage and were able to observe the white pickup truck driving from the scene.

Innocent, etc.
