Man stabbed at the Roundhouse Hotel at Mass and Cass

Stanley Staco reports a man was stabbed in the stomach in the basement of the Roundhouse, 891 Massachusetts Ave. at Mass and Cass around 9 p.m. Because of the nature of his injuries, the homicide unit was called in. And because of the number of witnesses, officers from across the city were called to the scene.

We need warrant sweeps to remove the ppl who are down there to take advantage of a dreadful situation and a vulnerable population

The problem is if BPD performs a warrant sweep several of the individuals upon being arrested will inform the officers that they are dope sick or have other medical issues. BPD will then have to transport those arrestees to city hospital and assign two officers to guard each individual who is under arrest around the clock. So if fifty individuals are picked up in a warrant sweep BPD would have to assign over 100 officers to guard the prisoners effectively stripping the rest of the city of any police coverage.

I believe the governor has started this process. I get the occupants have rights but get the water cannons out or other-non lethal means to clear that area. This has been going on for years, time to get serious WU.
