Guy and two pals face armed robbery, gun charges because he didn't want to pay for some soda at a late-night pizza place in the South End, police say
Boston Police report arresting three men after one allegedly pointed a gun at a worker behind the counter at Alex's Pizza, 1252 Washington St., shortly before 3 a.m.
According to police scanner traffic, a man walked in, grabbed some drinks and when the counter worker told him he had to pay, flashed a gun, ran out and hopped into a Jeep with two other guys - which officers in cruisers, given a description of the vehicle, its plate number and its direction towards Mass. Ave., found soon after at Melnea Cass Boulevard and Washington Street.
After stopping the car and ordering the men out, police say in a statement, officers found a Smith and Wesson CTGE with six rounds in the chamber in the car.
Ahmed Doumbia, 21, of Dorchester, Alpha Bah, 22, of Dorchester, and Souleymane Barry-Diallo, 29, of Roslindale, were all charged with armed robbery, illegal possession of a firearm and illegal possession of ammunition, police say.
Last year, some nearby residents asked the Boston Licensing Board to roll the restaurant's closing time back because of noise from the crush of business around 3 a.m.
Innocent, etc.
