Four people with two loaded guns were skulking around one East Boston street, looking in windows, police say

Boston Police report arresting four people on gun charges after somebody reported them looking into windows on Beachview Road in East Boston around 2 p.m. on May 7.

Police say officers who arrived there to look for the call found them around the corner on Orient Avenue - in the car a witness had described.

With the assistance of responding officers, all four individuals exited the vehicle and were pat frisked. After further investigation, officers recovered two firearms from inside the vehicle. The firearms were later determined to be a Glock 26 with fifteen rounds in the magazine, and a Glock 27 with one round in the chamber and thirteen rounds in the magazine. Officers also recovered a backpack that contained eight plastic bags of marijuana and two digital scales.

Demetrey Pate, 20, of Brighton, Wendy Seide, 21, of Hyde Park, Levar Freeman-Allen, 19, of East Boston, and Philip Blain, 20, of Boston, were all charged with illegal possession of a firearm, illegal possession of ammunition, disturbing the peace and trespassing, police say, adding Bain was also charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Pate, who had open charges in South Boston and Brighton courts, Blain, who had an open charge in Dorchester court and Freeman-Allen, who had open juvenile charges, were ordered held to await dangerousness hearings tomorrow, according to court records. Seide was ordered held in lieu of $5,000 bail, records show.

Is the news here the fact that BPD arrested actual criminals for a change?

I'd say the news here is even drug dealers need a side hustle these days. Criminals are dumb sometimes.
