Driver dead, passenger injured after car crashes into Dorchester house, but driver might have been shot first

Victim identified as Edwin Diaz-Geraldo, 20, of Brighton.

Boston Police report a man crashed into the house at 24 Fifield St. in Dorchester around 8:30 p.m. on Friday.

Police report the driver was declared dead at the scene; his passenger was taken to the hospital with a broken leg.

WCVB reports police are investigating whether 911 calls about gunfire on Fifield Street shortly before the crash were related.
