Man shot in the chest in East Boston

A man was shot at Marion and Paris streets in East Boston around 6:10 p.m.

Because of the severity of the victim's injuries, the homicide unit was called in.

That is a bad start to 2025.
Early evening; crowded neighborhood; right next to the Otis School.
I was/am hoping that we get <20 homicides this year.

In November, two bodegas were robbed at gun and machete point, in December a kid got stabbed in the belly, now this?

The convenience store robberies in which the robber was carrying a pistol along with a sword that happened a short distance away from this shooting hasn’t been solved yet , shootings in the last couple of years in Eastie are mostly up meridian street in eagle hill area and Maverick housing projects area , now shootings have shifted to and around Otis school area marion and Paris street, mind you , a shooting did happen in that vicinity a few years ago according to to news reports. God forbid if this shooting was random , it will be beyond alarming.. a wake up call for neighborhood residents and the useless local politicians.
