15-year-old with a loaded gun was being ferried around Mattapan and Dorchester by another teen without a license, police say
Boston Police report officers arrested a 15-year-old they say was in possession of "a Glock 43 with an extended magazine containing eight 9mm rounds" after they first stopped his driver, also 15, for allegedly speeding up Blue Hill Avenue in Mattapan and Dorchester yesterday.
Police say officers stopped the car at 1118 Blue Hill Ave. around 4:15 p.m.
Upon approaching the vehicle, Officers observed four occupants. After speaking with the driver, Officers determined that he did not have a valid driver’s license. As Officers continued their investigation, they noticed one of the passengers exhibiting signs of nervousness, including shaking and other behaviors consistent with an individual in possession of a firearm.
Further investigation confirmed that the passenger was armed.
That kid, whose name was not released because of his age, was arrested on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a loaded firearm, possesison of a large-capacity firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition, police say. His chauffeur was arrested on a charge of operating without a license, police say.
