Man charged with sexually attacking woman at Maverick MBTA station

Transit Police report arresting a man for "indecently assaulting" a woman at the Maverick T stop  around 6 p.m. on Friday.

Francis Costa, Jr., 56, of Boston, was scheduled for arraignment in East Boston Municipal Court today on charges of indecent assault and battery on a person over 60, failure to register as a sex offender and because he didn't go quietly to a cruiser, assault and battery on a police officer.

Costa was, as they say, known to police, in fact, he is "well known to TPD for committing sexual offenses," police say.
