State Police report: on an incident in Dorchester this morning:
Trooper in Dorchester just spotted vehicle involved in carjacking several days ago. Suspect driving it today was wearing ski mask and sunglasses. Suspect refused to stop, crashed into 3 other cars & tried to run, but was caught & in custody, Morrissey at Freeport.
The MBTA was bustituting along the entire Ashmont Line for awhile tonight after a truck hit the bridge that carries the line over Freeport Street, but reported shortly after 10 p.m. the bridge survived the crash a lot better than the truck did and so regular service was resuming. Unclear if the truck storrowed or just sort of bounced off the bridge somehow.
The Zoning Board of Appeal today approved plans by the owner of Antonio’s HiFi Pizza and Bosburger in Fields Corner to open a recreational marijuana mart at 43 Freeport St. in Dorchester. Read more.
