Buzzfeed News reports on the bogus accounts - one named Donna Trumper, another Vinnie Boombatz - backing independent Shiva Ayyadurai and attacking incumbent Democrat Elizabeth Warren and Republican Geoff Diehl. Ayyardurai called the reporter a racist before hanging up on her.

Gretchen Van Ness, who came in second to incumbent state Rep. Angelo Scaccia in a field of five in the Democratic primary for the 14th Suffolk state representative district (Hyde Park, Roslindale, West Roxbury) told supporters today she will run again in 2020 but that for now, she will concentrate her free time on working to support Question 3, which would enshrine transgender people's right against discrimination in public places. Conley had announced earlier this year he would not run for re-election. Democrat Rachel Rollins and independent Michael Maloney are running in November.

WBUR considers the 37% turnout (98,000 votes) for professional hater Scott Lively in the Republican gubernatorial primary, interviews a leader of a pro-Trump group that the vote might be more of a sign of support for Trump than an endorsement of Lively's campaign to blame everything from the biblical flood to the Holocaust on gays. Then again, she also wonders if Baker is actually a Democratic plant.

Liz Miranda won the Democratic primary yesterday in the 5th Suffolk state representative race (Dorchester and Roxbury), with 59% of the vote in a four-person field. She'll replace Evandro Carvalho, who ran unsuccessfully for Suffolk County District Attorney.

Angelo Scaccia, who has served in the state House of Representatives since 1973 - except for two years - won re-election tonight in the 14th Suffolk district, which covers Hyde Park and parts of Roslindale and West Roxbury.

Jamaica Plain News reports Nika Elugardo has taken down the state representative in the 15th Suffolk district, which includes parts of Mission Hill, Jamaica Plain and Roslindale. Sanchez was also chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee. Read more.

The Globe reports Suffolk County DA candidate Greg Henning is pulling in tons of contributions from police officers.

What's kind of interesting about those donations is that they all list the officers' address as 1 Schroeder Place, which is BPD headquarters - even if the officers work in the Revere, Winthrop or Brockton PDs - or are, in fact, Massachusetts state troopers.
