Police say man was driving around Dorchester with a loaded gun
Boston Police report officers arrested the driver of a car stopped on Columbia Road on Sunday morning after they noticed a gun handle sticking out of the pocket on the rear of his seat.
Police say officers had stopped Christopher Warren, 35, of Dorchester on Columbia Road near Geneva Avenue around 7:30 a.m. for an equipment violation.
Officers removed the operator and placed him in custody after confirming that he did not possess a license to carry a firearm. Officers then safely recovered the firearm, which was determined to be a loaded .40 caliber Glock 27 handgun.
Warren, whom police say was already wanted on two warrants, one for threats to commit a crime and making annoying phone calls, the other for threats to commit a crime, was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, carrying a loaded firearm and driving after suspension, police say.
