Gang unit arrests Jamaica Plain man for Friday shooting in Roxbury

Boston Police report arresting Jermaine Grant, 36, of Jamaica Plain, on charges he shot another man on Cheney Street at Hartwell Street shortly before 11 a.m. on Friday.
Police say gang-unit officers were able to quickly tie Grant to the shooting and arrested him several hours later on charges of attempted murder, assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling.
