The Boston Fire Department reports a fire at 37 Snow St. in Brighton extended to 39 Snow St. this morning.
Firefighters responded around 8:30 a.m. to find heavy fire, the department says, adding a second alarm was struck soon after. 41 Snow St. also suffered damage, the department says. The department says one firefighter suffered minor injuries and that seven people were displaced. Damage was estimated at $500,000.

The houses would stand less chance of being damaged by fire from a nearby structure if people would stop using ridiculous siding material that can melt.
