Au Chocolat - 35 High St, Boston (617) 737-1197
Been a customer for 40 plus years and have the A1C to prove it.
Make their own chocolates and have some delicious nutty barks. Also have sugar free versions for those who eschew sugar.
Morrissey Blvd. by Boston Bowl.
They abandoned my neighborhood. as far as I could see.
Moment of silence. The original request sounds to me like this is (was) the very place they were looking for, rather than boutique shops like most of those suggested.
And those weird, cross-shaped chocolate tombstones (?) they sold at Easter.
...has always been peak Nutty Christianity.
An irreplaceable loss...
Gowell's in Brockton, much the best!
I love waking up to the smell of the caramel. They make it fresh six days a week and they sometimes they give my kiddos extra pieces.
McCrea's caramels are amazing, but the OP was looking for assorted chocolates - not really the same thing.
Our favorite go-to.

yes! furlong's is the best and totally old school!
My sweet tooth is acting up again.
