West Roxbury man who showed up at the hospital with a gunshot wound winds up arrested for the five ghost guns and seven magazines police found at his home, DA says
A West Roxbury man had bail set at $25,000 at his arraignment today on gun and drug charges for the five illegal guns, seven high-capacity magazines, bullets and "white powder" police found in his home after he showed up at the West Roxbury VA hospital Monday with a gunshot wound to his hand, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.
James Thelwell-Mullen initially told hospital staffers his father had accidentally shot him in a vehicle, but clammed up after he was transferred to Brigham and Women's Hospital and police arrived - he told officers there he could not recall how he happened to get a fresh hole in his hand, the DA's office says.
Police then went to his home to do a "protective sweep," during which they found "blood stains on the floor of a bedroom and hallway, clothing with blood stains, an empty gun holster on a bed, a spent shell casing and a magazine," the DA's office says, adding that in a follow-up search, this time with a warrant, officers found: "five firearms with no make or serial number." Also:
They also located a total of seven large capacity magazines – three capable of holding at least 10 rounds of ammunition, three capable of holding up to 30 rounds and one magazine with a capacity of 31 rounds of ammunition. In addition, police located loose ammunition and a bag containing a white powdery substance, furniture damaged by gunfire and a slug recovered from a trash can.
Thelwell-Mullen was charged with five counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, seven counts of possession of a high capacity feeding device and one count each of discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, unlawful possession of ammunition and possession of a Class A drug.
Innocent, etc.

West Roxbury strikes again
Considering it's a neighborhood with pedophile cops and little league umps, full of ghost guns and people who can run over a cop's toddler without getting charged, West Roxbury should maybe get off its high horse.
Did we ever
Did we ever find out what happened with that whole "car drives off wall onto family" thing?
Yikes
So judgy. Have you considered a hobby?
What a surprise
Per , the alleged's residence is one of those big buildings (not one of the new ones, but one of the older brick buildings) next to the trailer park on the VFW.
