Man shot to death in a Mildred Hailey apartment

Victim identified as Orlando Watkins, 44, of Dorchester.

Boston Police report a man was found dead of gunshot wounds at 940 Parker St. in the Mildred Hailey Apartments in Jamaica Plain around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Police say officers had gone to an apartment after somebody called 911 to request a well being check. He was declared dead at the scene.
