Man shot to death on Columbia Road in Dorchester

Victim identified as Daniel T. Mayers, 33, of Haverhill.

Boston Police report officers responding to a report of gunfire near the Lilla Frederick Pilot Middle School, 264 Columbia Rd. in Dorchester, found a man with gunshot wounds shortly before 5 p.m.

He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
