At 11:20 a.m., the MBTA reported delays of up to 15 minutes on the Riverside Line as workers "assisted a turtle from the tracks" at Chestnut Hill.

How many workers did it take? And wouldn't it be faster to let the turtle finish the crossing itself?

Could be more than a few minutes if it's a snapper laying eggs and not just one attempting to cross.
hurtle vs hurdle
I think you mean hurdle, Adam.
Hurtle means "to move rapidly or forcefully" and no one has ever accused the Green Line of that! Also, it is a verb.
Hurdle means a "barrier" coming from the track event. The Green Line faces a lot of these.

I mean, you're absolutely right, and no one is accusing the Green Line of going too fast on the 100-meter hurtle or whatever, but it had to move fast to move the turtle. Plus, it rhymes. Um, guilty as charged.
