Two 13-year-olds charged with armed robbery in East Boston; arrested when they returned to the scene after officers arrived, police say
Boston Police report nabbing two 13-year-olds they say attacked another teen and ripped the gold chain off his neck at knife point in East Boston's Central Square Saturday afternoon.
According to police, one of the two barely teens knocked the victim to the ground outside the Walgreens at 1 Central Sq. around 5 p.m.:
The suspect then ripped the victim’s chain from his neck while holding a knife. A second suspect was standing beside the victim, also holding a knife. The suspects fled the area towards Porter Street.
Police say officers found the victim sitting outside the store. As EMTs arrived to check him out, the two alleged young robbers "returned to the scene," making it a lot easier for police to arrest them on charges of being delinquent for armed robbery and assault and battery. A third teen with them was released, police add.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment of injuries not considered life threatening, police say.
