Two arrested for riding around on a stolen scooter, then pointing a gun at the owner when he spotted them in Fields Corner, police say
Boston Police report arresting an 18-year-old and an 17-year-old on a variety of gun and robbery charges in Fields Corner in Dorchester Wednesday night.
Police say somebody who had recently had his scooter stolen spotted it at a gas station at Dorchester and Melville avenues shortly before 10:30 p.m.
The victim approached the suspects about his stolen moped, and one of the suspects pointed a firearm at him. The suspects then ran from the area towards Bourneside Street.
Police say gang-unit members found Jeremiah Charles, 18, of Abington, at Park and Marlowe streets and the 17-year-old - too young to have his name released - trying to hide underneath a parked vehicle on Bourneside Street. Officers then found a gun, a Glock 22 loaded with 14 bullets, along the path he ran to get to his failed hiding spot, police say.
The younger teen was charged with being delinquent for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, illegal possession of a firearm, illegal possession of a large-capacity feeding device, illegal possession of ammunition and making threats to commit a crime, police say.
Charles was charged with making threats to commit a crime, receiving a stolen motor vehicle and trespassing, police say.
Innocent, etc.

remarkable, Abington?
how many youths from the southern suburbs like Stoughton etc come up to Boston to cause problems. How do they find the time to go to school and commute to their city gang? Skipping homework, I guess.
On the other hand, these two are probably dropouts
Suburbanites coming to Boston…
… for work, education, entertainment or to release their inner demons is nothing new.
No judgment here just observation. The suburbs are a breeding ground.
Which gang was the young man
Which gang was the young man from Abington in? Just kidding, sort of...
