Local women's pro soccer team gets a name, of sorts

The local National Women's Soccer League team, the one that could play in a rebuilt White Stadium, will call itself Bos Nation FC, which is supposed to resonate with people who live in a city:

Where sarcasm is the native language. A three dollar and 48 cent cup of coffee is the food of choice. Where a legion of professional sports teams connects us as one. And no one, no one, rests until championship banners are raised.

with your new Roxbury / Washington St. JP neighbors.

Bonding over $3+ cups of coffee as 'our' food of choice.

The “Wicked Pissahs” is probably too excellent for prime time.

... but maybe that's why it's used by a local roller derby team :)

Wouldn't Bostonian FC be better?

Or just Boston FC

Or Boston United, although there is already a Boston United F.C. in the U.K., founded in 1933.

So, how would you get to White Stadium?

Practice, man, practice.

#16 bus from Forest Hills or Andrew Station. I don't think they have a stop right outside White Stadium (They better still call it White Stadium after the renovations) but it's a short walk from the Franklin Park stop.

Alternatively you could take the #22, #29, #32, #34 or #36 busses from Roxbury Crossing station and get off at the playground on Seaver Street opposite Humboldt Avenue and walk down the hill.

Incredibly dumb name.

My suggestion:

"HighSchoolStadiumPirates"

Would only fit on a broad rimmed hat.
Not very stylish.

Nothing else.

Or, White Stadium Stealers could be another option.

Baby Whales FC - ocean sunfish mascot and merch.

Baby Wheels, Jay.

Marshall's will be pushing Bosnian FC sweatshirts
