Suspects in Brookline bookshop holdup arrested in Jamaica Plain

Brookline Police report that Horai-San Book and Crystal Shop, 242 Washington St. in Brookline Village, was held up around 6:42 p.m. on Friday.

Saturday morning, Brookline Police raided 21 Child St. in Jamaica Plain, arresting two men on armed-robbery charges. Police blame the pair, who they say were shacking up there temporarily, for at least one other armed holdup in Brookline and say they were likely planning more holdups to support an addiction to crack. Police said one of the men was from Fall River, while they described the other only as "homeless."

Why the hell am I paying such high taxex in live in Brookline if vagrants are going to be robbing my neighbors on the streets and in their shops? This isn't Rozzie for Christ sake's!

Brookline PD, come on! How is it that I get ticketed for being 2 mins over on a meter but people are jacking folks when are just out for a walk in MIDDAY?

Did we lose a war? That isn't the Brookline I know, this isn't even JP!

The war of not looking like low-hanging fruit.

If I were a homeless crack addict shacking up in JP, I would certainly go to Brookline to stick people up.

And BTW, the tax rate is actually lower in Brookline than in Boston. We pay 10.97 per thousand, and you pay 9.73.

I tell all the homeless vagrant crack addicts to go jack people in Brookline because they've got lots of extra cash from paying lower taxes.
