Unless she wages a write-in campaign in November against Sonia Chang-Diaz - who unofficial results show is the winner in their rematch for the 2nd Suffolk state senate seat.
Click on the link for other Boston results in today's Democratic primaries, including: In the 5th Suffolk (Dorchester and Roxbury) state rep's race, Marie St. Fleur easily beat back longtime politico Roy Owens, while in the 6th Suffolk (Roxbury, JP and Roslindale), incumbent Willie Mae Allen showed Faustina Gabriel what's what. Over in the 10th Suffolk (West Roxbury and South Brookline), it was incumbent Mike Rush in a cakewalk over Pamela Julian.

Wilkerson blames change in polling places
PolitickerMA attends her concession speech, where she blamed disabled supporters not being able to get to polls - and a Cambridge philanthropist who poured a lot of money into the Chang-Diaz race. Nothing about voters getting sick of being represented by a convicted felon.
She's Gone Where the Goblins Go...
Seems like the whole State House is being aired out. No wonder the Governor wanted new curtains!
I dont live in Wilkerson's district, but I spend a lot of time there. The people are suffering: predatory lending, no funds for non-Northeastern infrastructure, youth violence, etc. and they kept voting her in year after year. I didnt understand it. She was in a position to help her constituents with many of these issues and for some reason, did not.
I wish Ms. Chang-Diaz the very best. Maybe now the people in Second Suffolk can get some help! ((shaking head))
perhaps she was already in the private sector...
as in "taking care of me and mine." Witness her "compassionate" helping of the Del Valle family (collapsed Big Dig tunnel ceiling death) by steering them to her son's girlfriend for legal representation.
'A sad end to what once was a promising career'
The Outraged Liberal muses on the end of an era:
that's rich
But for whatever reasons, her lesser angels led her to one bad decision after another involving her personal and campaign life.
So, she's responsible for her good accomplishments, but "angels" are responsible for her bad decisions?
Reading too much into it
He was trying to be eloquent, not profess belief in hidden powers.
That'll teach me to try and be eloquent..
Thanks Adam. Words have a way of getting me in trouble!
