Why don't they have traffic reports at Roche Bros.?

New commenting turned off as we begin the Great UHub Migration. Back later today.

And now, the Subaru Dealers of New England All-Wheel Drive Shopping Report on the Threes brought to you by Toyota, let's go over to Steve Garfield in the Commerce Insurance shopping cart - Steve, how's the shopping today? "It's terrible, Bob! The wait at the deli department is backed up beyond the apples and we've got some crawl-and-stall down on LaGrange Street as people try to figure out the new water-bottle lane configurations. And there's police action over by the olive bar, where a man just stuck his hand right in one of the containers and grabbed an olive!"

How much Sudafed did you take before writing that?

Did you listen to Steve's report?

Still doesn't explain the traffic report!

What can I say? I needed to do some shopping tonight, but after hearing Steve's report, I headed over to the Hyde Park Shaw's (um, OK, I was going to go there anyway, but work with me here), where the report went something like this:

All aisles are clear and there's no more than a one-person cycle at the Hampton checkout lanes.

Bonus: The Hyde Park Shaw's doesn't have a place to sit or an olive bar, so you don't ever have to worry about seeing somebody eating olives right in front of you.

On Truman Highway where there isn't a single vegetable or any non-Wonder-type bread?

This is the place on Hyde Park Avenue next to what used to be the Mother Brook but now seems to just be a drainage ditch, across from the McDonald's that used to have the paintings of scenic Hyde Park vistas, like the rusting stairs down to the train station that the T finally closed for fear somebody would plummet 20 feet to their death, and down the street from the CF Donovan's that now seems likely to open in 2015.

The Shaw's actually has a decent collection of foodstuffs, including prepared meals that are a lot less expensive than the ones at Roche Bros., not to mention spotted dick and cock flavoured soup mix.

It's still Mother brook, it's just less brooky. At least it's doing better than Stony brook.

Although Stony Brook at the source - at Stony Brook Reservation - is still doing just fine.

Best uhub story ever.

Thanks Adam, I needed a good chuckle!

They may have to employ pedestrian police inside & build a multi-level parking garage outside to bring law and order to the place!
