Now that Berklee has some competent administration, they've been hamstrung by their real estate predicament. There's no good place to expand; their attempt to get into the Tower/Virgin/Best Buy building was nixed, and I imagine the Hynes Convention Center is a little out of their price range. With so much special-purpose space (recording studios, practice rooms, concert halls), they can't just up and move.
154-174 is, I think, the building with McDonald's at the corner of Mass Ave and Belvidere. Berklee's already been renting some space for classes, but having the whole building (and maybe being able to build up?) should be a huge boon.
Three cheers for Berklee, specifically: "two", "five", and "one".

That's great news
