Police: American Legion Highway turned into American Legion Dragway on Saturday night
Boston Police report busting up a drag-racing mob of low riders Saturday night on American Legion Highway in Roslindale.
Around 11:40 p.m., police responded to a report of a large fight at the Wendy's at American Legion and Walk Hill Street; responding officers found roughly 50 low-rider cars and 125 people - including two guys brandishing guns who fled on foot.
Officers found one person who'd been videoing races down American Legion with his cell phone:
Officers reviewed the video footage and were able to locate one of the vehicles in the parking lot that was filmed racing. The operator of the vehicle was also located and admitted to his participation in the race.
Miguel Agramonte Morales, 31, of Revere, was charged with driving to endanger and drag racing. Police say they seized additional videos and that detectives are continuing to investigate the ad hoc race track.
