Globe running out of ideas on how to beat the heat?
By adamg on Sat, 07/24/2010 - 2:29pm
As the Outraged Liberal notes, one of the Globe's suggestions for beating the heat today is to go to Wulf's Seafood in Brookline and stand there watching the owner chop up fish.

Brookline
Brookline is probably my favorite seaside location in Massachusetts. The water views, the breeze.
Amazing.
Well, if we could get back
Well, if we could get back the land that was annexed by Boston, we'd at least get to the Charles River. And we'd also get Brookline University and the Brookline Red Sox, so that'd be good too.
To beat the heat: go spend
To beat the heat: go spend money.
When did the Boston Globe become Boston Magazine?
For any Globies looking to do a followup
The Ocean State Job Lot in Dedham has some great AC, especially in the "discount stationery" aisle (which seems kind of redundant, given what kind of place it is, but whatevs, I could've stood there quite awhile).
My guess
That's what passes as summer fishing for most folks on Morrissey Avenue. The pillowy nature of the velvet coffin has made their hands extra sensitive, so holding a surf pole is just out of the question. Better to go to Wulf's and ask how the gefilte are runnin'. Doesn't take high-test line or a bucket of bait to hook yourself a whitefish salad.
How about this classic
Go to a mall with a book. Buy a soda.
If you please
Tonic.
but
BYO gin, though.
