Ditching judges

Kerry Healey wants a board (which the governor would appoint) with the power to remove judges.

We think it's an awful idea too
We had this bad boy up first thing in the morning.

Another terrible idea from Kerry Healey.
What a shocker...
Those on the right think it's a great idea (because it shifts power in their direction). And those on the left think it's a terrible idea (same reason).
I tend to come down on the "bad idea" side, using the same argument put forth in th BMG post on the subject. There is already a system in place through which judges can be reviewed and, if necessary, removed from the bench.
Of course, the argument of "there's already a system in place" meant jack shit to those on the left when Kerry was running for President and they steamrolled legislation through to change the procedure for filling a vacated senate seat.
Imagine if Melanie's Bill had been acted on with such dedication.
Funny how the shifting of power back then was a brave and noble thing to do. But now, that the Republicans are looking to take similar actions, it's now considered an egregiously reprehensible power grab.
