Campaign roundup: Tim Cahill remains in toaster set to extra dark; Back Bay group calls Marston a liar

The Globe reports why Tim Cahill may have wanted to block publication of those e-mails (he failed):

Politically explosive e-mails released yesterday by former aides to state Treasurer Timothy P. Cahill appear to show Cahill's top campaign advisers trying to make sure that a million-dollar, taxpayer-funded ad blitz for the state lottery also benefited Cahill's independent gubernatorial bid.

Latest poll numbers suggest people fleeing Cahill after Losoccogate are helping Patrick, now seeming to break away from the pack, the Herald reports.

Wicked Local reports the Back Bay Association told state-rep candidate Brad Marston his pants are on fire for saying it dropped plans for a state-rep debate when it found out he was the guy running against incumbent Marty Walz. The group says it's non partisan and never sponsors debates.

The Globe reports oversight of Frannie Mac and Fannie Mac are issues dogging Barney Frank.

WBUR reports on a debate between Keating and Perry in the 10th; the Globe reports Keating is making Perry's police record an issue in his campaign.

That when we contacted the Back Bay Association they expressed interest in a debate until they heard that my opponent was Marty Walz. I never said they had scheduled a debate.

The head of the BBA called me a liar. Of course she maxed out to Marty Walz by donating $500 to Marty in 2008 when Marty had no opponent and Meg doesn't even live in the district.

Why doesn't the term "unimpeachable source" come to mind?
