At least their resident fatboy had the decency to admit he got his surgery for free. The sad thing for the Herald is Chubby got the freebie because of his radio gig (you know, the one he hates), not because of his crusading journalism in print.
The Outraged Liberal has more.

What's so "balancing" against the "liberalism of the Glob" about advertising the fact that a plastic surgeon does liposuction?
So, even if we go with your premise that the "Glob" is "liberal", and even if we go with your premise that the Herald is opposed to liberalism, and even if we go with your premise that it's better that the Herald be opposed to liberalism rather than politically neutral, and even if we go with your premise that this is all something Adam is envious or jealous of...
Even if we go with all of those loaded assumptions, what's REALLY funny about what you wrote...is that you're the actual "knee-jerk" reactionary.

Ah, the old "I know you are, but what am I" defense, RJ. You've got me! I defer to your withering Hermanesque defense!
You're suffering from Dunning-Kruger effect. I'm sorry but the only cure is education.

Aw, if Kerry or one of the Kennedys were getting lipo, free or not, the Globe-Democrat would have done same thing. Any outrage about this is, "damn, _I_ wanted free lipo and THIS guy gets it!" File under Howie Carr: Thin(ner) Bastard

I get it - you're embarrassed the
Tea Party NewsletterHerald whored out it's front page but please don't embarrass yourself needlessly in defense by making a stupid, unsubstantiated and incredible counter claim that no one, even a Howie Carr fan would believe.Prof. Corkem's Pet

Howie's always had a voice for newspaper, now he has a body for radio as well. :D

You seem to be confused. Fatboy is the former Senator who killed a woman and conspired to cover it up. Fatboy is the drunken lecher who terrorized Georgetown waitersses for a decade.

I meant Fatass McWhorey Whore who convinced his bosses at the Herald to run a front-page wet kiss to a WRKO advertiser who sucked out the lard he's spent 30 years making fun of other people for having.

does anyone actually read the Sunday Herald?

For the Globe and most other 7-day newspapers, Sunday circulation outstrips weekday. For the Herald, it's the exact opposite.
Edited to add real data:
Globe: Daily 232,432; Sunday 378,949
Herald: Daily 132,551; Sunday 91,040

A new low even for Howie and the Herald, a free ad wrapped up in a pre-emptive strike that attempts to say that hypocrisy and corruption are OK if you admit you're committing them and enjoy doing so.
But really, this is a logical outcome of the "transparency" conducted regularly by the Phoenix, Dan Kennedy, and other Howie enemies, where it is OK to be totally biased if you put "Disclosure: I am totally biased" in the article.
The real novelty might have been having to hear about the columnist's wife's pants.
