Survey says:

Jay Fitzgerald on the latest poll numbers: Sure, the attack ads hurt, but Patrick still has a double digit lead:

... What candidate for any office wouldn't love an 18 percent lead at this point in a campaign? Healey will have to do much, much more than hammer away at a somewhat manufactured coddling-criminals topic that few thought was a major issue just a couple weeks ago. ...

True, Jay, but who is controlling the agenda for the election? Not Patrick.

Oh yeah? But what about Patrick going to a fundraiser at alleged perv David Scondras's house (OK, granted, this summer, before we know he might still be fascinated by little boys), Hub Politics asks:

... Since last week, Deval Patrick has be shown to have very unhelpful ties to a rapist, a cop killer, and a child predator--a regular motley crew. Patrick is already showing a hit from the Benjamin LaGuer scandal, and his troubles don't yet seem to be over. ...

So yesterday the Healey campaign was trumpeting its endorsement by "victims of crime," but today says that Patrick's status as a childhood victim of crime isn't relevant to the race. Hub Politics snorts that maybe Patrick is just making it up.

Blue Mass. Group digs up the fun nugget that none other than Antonin Scalia authored a unanimous Supreme Court decision that the same issue for which Patrick sought a sentence reduction for that Florida killer was unconstitutional.

Carpundit: Patrick is a criminal coddler.

Charles Foster Kane wonders if Carpundit understands the law.

Ed Prisby explains why inmates need their sheets washed three times a week and why some Boston media types should get off their fat asses (yes, like Brian McGrory).

Jon Keller urges Healey to cut out the push-poll crap.

Mass. GOP News says Healey has bigger balls than Patrick and that's why men support her.

Calla explains why she couldn't vote for Healey:

... You, Mrs. Healy, have nothing to say about yourself. You ran one ad early on that I seem to think said something about lowering taxes. But that's the only thing I know about what you want to do should you win the election. All I know if that you want to attack your opponent. ...

The Outraged Liberal points out what he says are contradictions in various Healey positions.
