DA: Dorchester gunman had victim on the phone when he started shooting him

Anthony Robertson, 20, was ordered held without bail at his arraignment today on charges he murdered Aaron Wornum on Sumner Street in Dorchester on June 26.

Assistant District Attorney David Fredette said the two knew each other and that, in fact, the two were talking to each other on their cell phones when Robertson opened fire around 9 p.m. and shot Wornum several times.

Wornum's relatives and friends filled more than two rows in Dorchester District Court this morning as Robertson was arraigned - from behind a door to hide him from the public. A smaller number of Robertson's relatives also attended.

Robertson was arrested yesterday afternoon by the Boston Police fugitive and gang units.

Innocent, etc.

Anyone have the stats on how the BPD is doing in terms of catching someone for the various shootings that have taken place this year?

Not that who they pick up is necessarily the guilty party -- they have to prove the case, but I was just curious as to how many of these shootings we see reported in UHub have at least a case going as opposed to just being "we have no idea who did this."
