That paper....
sums up how police feel rather well, just look.....

One thread....
...discusses whether the Supreme Court's health insurance ruling provides a good enough justification for an armed rebellion (and -- along the way -- killing liberals): http://www.masscops.com/threads/former-gop-spokesm...
Nice people there...
Maybe it's just supposed to be "entertainment"
Oh, what Rush has wrought! Or was it Beck? Imus? Fox News? Whichever/whomever of those changed the definition of the word.
Bully's Sense of Humor
I had a kid on the soccer team that I coached who thought that "gay" or "fag" or "black people" "jokes" were funny, too.
He was constantly trying to explain how they were "funny" when nobody laughed.

With all due respect...
As offensive as many of the posts on masscops.com are, no one to my knowledge has yet presented evidence that the site is actually linked to Massachusetts law enforcement officers. Anyone could have registered that website, and postings are pseudonymous. A quick whois search indicates that it's registered through godaddy.com by someone who "owns about 700 other domains".
On the other hand, Pax Centurion is well documented as the official newsletter and website of the labor union that represents commissioned officers of the Boston Police Department.
Ick...
I have never had a bad experience with the BPD, quite the opposite, they have always been respectful and professional.
But I've been a clean cut white male my entire life, and it's hard not to get a glimpse of how the BPD treats those of a different background than myself.
I have never lost so much respect for an organization so quickly. There is a major cleanup needed that goes beyond sensitivity training for the dyed in the wool racists, fascists, and amoral power-hungry people that hide among the good in uniform.
Follow the money, Adam
There's a little more here than meets the eye.
If you look carefully at Simmons' press release, you'll note that they're not actually taking any money away from anyone. They used to make a donation to a scholarship fund, in return for which they got an ad in Pax Centurion. They say that they're going to continue to donate to the scholarship fund but request that their ad no longer be run. Net effect: BPPA loses not one cent; the only one out anything is the printer and the paper and ink suppliers, because the magazine is one page shorter.
A couple more "Advertisers" have said, "whoa, we never authorized an ad in that paper." I suspect that Pax Centurion was just running courtesy ads for all donors to the scholarship fund; I doubt these donors are going to quit giving.
This calls for a little investigation. Is anyone actually pulling any money away as a result of this?
