Olives squashed

Olives in Charlestown closed "until further notice". Notices in (papered-over) windows direct inquiries to building owner.

This time, a fire might not be involved. Last fall, English's landlord sued for more than $700,000 in back rent.

In April, the CFO at English's company told the Boston Licensing Board the company was getting refinanced in an effort to drum up enough cash to pay off the management company at Faneuil Hall Marketplace, which had sued him for back rent on his failed Kingfish Hall restaurant there.

Boston Restaurant Talk reports Olives is, in fact closed.
