Not really much of a "fight" there. Sounds like Connolly was annoyed because he knew one of the guys chirping him. Another reason twitter is dumb. There's no way "sully" says that to Connolly's face, but hiding behind his phone/keyboard, why not!
1. Why pick on the guy after the election? He lost. Let's be graceful here.
2. Don't pick on his kids. Look, I despise the guy as a politician. I'm happy he didn't win. Still, I concede he's a good family guy, so leave the kids out of it. Besides, if sending them to the Trotter were a ploy (and even though I hate to think it, maybe) he'll just send them to St. Theresa's or Holy Name. He'll be back to lawyer money soon enough, and it's his background, too.
So the part I wrote about him being a great family man, which I truly believe, was also something that pissed you off?
I think you missed the point. The election is over. You have to be pretty low to keep carping about the candidates at this point. Let the man be. The point that you noted annoyed you was to emphasize that I didn't want him to win. Doesn't make him a bad guy. Reading people bring his kids into the matter is pretty low. I wish him the best going forward, as I noted below.
. . .if you think "I despise the guy as a politician" is tough talk or nasty or mean. That's one of the most polite condemnations of a candidate I've seen.
Although not properly registered (I cannot figure out if I ever got a password. I'm the UH equivelant of the old guy with the VCR that blinks 12:00 all the time) I did far worse a few months back. And yes, I did come back eating crow when I saw my error.
You gotta stick up for your guy. You know my political feelings aqbout him, but it's just not right to kick him while he's down, and even him being down will be a temporary thing. Hopefully he's already made plans with the family for a long, quiet holiday weekend out of town.
As a Westie guy who voted for Walsh and a hockey fanatic, this coach is a grade A asshole. When I DO decide to have little people I hope this turd isn't their coach. But the again my 100 lb future wife would kick ass and take names on the ice.
Sure, the previous superintendents have had PhDs or MEds, but still, he knows the system and has ideas- even us Walsh voters admit as much. AG would be interesting, but if Galvin runs for it next year...

Not liking someone is tough
Not liking someone is tough talk to you? A bit bitter perhaps? Maybe you should have a nap.
Maybe stay away from politics

I applaud, in an entirely non-ironic way, the fact that someone actually apologized on a comments thread (and that the apology was accepted. )
What on earth is going on today?
JC is a good man
As a proud supporter of Marty I would be just as proud to support John Connolly for Attorney General
Same here

Talk about putting your money where your mouth is
That would be truly interesting. And a big raise. But I expect that administrivia and sabotage would derail him in short order.
