Dedham Police report they're looking for this guy for purse snatchings at the Stop & Shop and Star Market in their town and at the Roche Bros. in West Roxbury, in which he targets senior citizens who leave their purses unattended.
In the most recent incident, Dec. 1 at the Stop & Shop, police say:
Suspect took a pocket book from elderly female that left her handbag unattended in the produce section.
He fled towards West Roxbury in a dark 2006 or 2007 Accord with a sunroof and a small spoiler, police say. They add that although the photo is of poor quality, it does show his unusual jacket, with one white sleeve and one blue one.
If you know the owner of a pimped out dark Accord who mixes up his sleeve colors, contact Dedham detectives at 781-751-9300, ext. 9315.

I'd say "careless" is a more apt description.

It's still stealing and this guy still needs a beat-down.
Oh, those carefree senior citizens!

Yeah, those idiot old ladies! I mean sheesh, they're practically begging for their handbag to be stolen! FYI Harry, a couple of generations ago, when these elderly women were, say, your age, the world was a slightly more trustworthy place. Women left their bags in their carts all the time, and junkies weren't lurking in every corner of the grocery store to steal them.
Now, compare and contrast with 20-somethings who wander about the streets with the $600 phone out, oblivious to everything but the screen, who get "apple picked." They actually do know better but choose to ignore the warnings.

Carefree is different from careless. My point was that being forgetful has nothing to do with the issue. Stop trying to out-troll me.

Probably to support a heroin addiction...
I've started throwing my wallet into a backpack whenever I go to the grocery store, because you can't leave anything unattended.
front pocket is probably safer

I think a backpack has the same problem as a purse - you can put it down and forget it. Front pocket is the safest place, IMHO.

If you look closely at the picture, you can almost make out that this is a human male.

Me: Ma'am, please don't leave your purse open in the child carrier of your carriage.
Lady: Oh, thank you! Are you a police officer?
Me: No, ma'am. I used to be a thief.
