City Hall had two protests today

As BPS students and parents protested program cuts near the Bill Russell statue, a smaller group of Nigerian expats and Nigerian-Americans were holding a protest of their own a bit closer to the Government Center T stop.

What more specifically were they asking the city or state to do?
Don't think they were asking Boston to do anything
Although when Tito Jackson came out to meet the students, he actually stopped to talk to the Nigerian organizers first.
City Hall Plaza just lends itself to protests. I admit, I was there for the student protest, so didn't stop to ask any of the Nigerians about their specific issues.
