Police tend to get suspicious when they see somebody jump out of a moving car - especially one they're trying to pull over
Boston Police report arresting a Dorchester man they say was packing a loaded firearm when he jumped out of a car that was still moving as they tried to pull its driver over for a traffic infraction.
Police say the car "was slowing to a stop" outside 12 Powellton Rd. around 3 p.m. on Thursday when Tyrre Herring, 19, of Dorchester, got out of the car.
As suspect was exiting the vehicle, officers promptly observed his right hand clutching a firearm that was sticking out of the waistband of his pants. With the protection and safety of all in the immediate area on their minds, officers immediately began to chase the suspect through several backyards and over fences until they were able to apprehend him behind 5 Strathcona Street. The officers later recovered a loaded .40 caliber Smith & Wesson SD40 VE handgun and other material evidence which the suspect had discarded during the foot chase.
Herring was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition and trespassing, police say.
Innocent, etc.

GREAT JOB BPD, I would like to remind every Bostonian and non Bostonian, each time a Boston Police Officer or some law enforcement officer recovers or remove a firearm during an active investigation active incident;he or she could have been killed. Anytime law enforcement is involved in any type of pursuit he or she could be killed.
So when you read the stats or when you hear of a Boston p
Police Officer has removed a firearm from the streets of Boston, be mindful during the course of this removal he or she could have been killed or even the actor perpetrator could have been killed or even an innocent bystander could have been killed.
