Around 10:30 p.m. toward the end of Van Winkle Street, off Dorchester Avenue. The homicide unit was called in due to the severity of her injuries.

Ashmont Station is sketchy
The location sounds like the incident happened on the walkway from Ashmont station. The walkway is dark and desolate. Why is the police office at the station always closed with the blinds down and no one home. The same with the police office in the rear of JFK station?

Van winkle is cut in two by Ashmont station - one side is meets Dot Ave the other meets Carruth. Both There used to be an underground tunnel that connected the two sides but it was filled in during reconstruction.
