I remember an old story about an IT manager in the days before the PC, when computers were big noisy things. The manager could see all the users' passwords except for one; this user had figured out how to disguise his, so all the manager could see was a string of asterisks... except he hadn't disguised it at all; he had simply chosen a string of asterisks for his password.
But the name would be clickable

I had to change the default name for anonymous users to "anon" because he registered Anonymous as a user name (OK, I could have deleted his account, but come on, he found a flaw in the system and took advantage of it, how could I delete something like that?).

If our local pigeons had bird flu, I'd expect there'd be a lot of them dying of it. I haven't seen any dead ones; have you?
I took the same pic...

Last month when I was there. Seems like they've made these their (very shallow) bird baths.

Good question. Unlikely, based on a cursory search of the world-wide-web. They are more resistant to the virus than other Aves, but if you see them twisting their necks in an unnatural way, or see greenish poop take note.Â

I saw a rather sick pigeon new track seven late yesterday afternoon and it really did break my heart. I gave the poor guy a french fry, but it didn’t Look like he was long for this world.
And yes, I know not to feed the birds. However, I wanted to give the little guy a treat before he left this earth.
Please report sick/dead birds

MassWildlife has a web form. The state is tracking these in response to rising cases of avian influenza.
For pigeons, you should submit a 311 report to get quick cleanup.

They're all around future Philly in Twelve Monkeys, so it must be true. They survived the Plague, but the dinosaurs didn't, even the few remaining ones then living in Utah.
