The Boston Licensing Board last week took no action on a request from the Sea Breeze Mexican Grill, 1782 Dorchester Ave., in Dorchester, for a beer, wine and liqueur license as it continues to try to figure out the ramifications of the law that was supposed to give Boston 25 new liquor licenses this year for areas away from Boston Proper and the waterfront.

Amelia's Taquieria, 180 Brighton Ave., goes before the Boston Licensing Board next week seeking permission to extend its hours on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 2 a.m. to 3 a.m.

The board's hearings begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday in its eighth-floor hearing room in City Hall.

Boston Restaurant Talk reports on a Koreanish/tacoish place that's opened on Bedford Street in the Financial District. "K-tacos, which have bulgogi or spicy chicken placed in corn tortillas," anyone?

Place has possibly the least descriptive name ever, though: InBoston.

The Boston Licensing Board yesterday approved a request from the owners of Quencher, 170A I St., to sell their liquor license to a company that wants to open a Mexican restaurant in the reviving Downtown Crossing.

Boston Restaurant Talk reports Quencher could be shut by November. Its license now goes to the Painted Burro, planned for 35 Temple Pl.

Tacos El Charro, 349 Centre St., will re-open as soon as the city issues an inspection certificate, owner Aida Luz Navarro said this morning.

Navarro told the Boston Licensing Board she was forced to close the restaurant earlier this year due to financial problems - she didn't have enough to pay for a required permit in December, and in January, NStar shut off power due to a $7,000 unpaid bill.
