T cups!

Paul Kelleher attended the Pride Parade through the South End, Back Bay and downtown today, posts photos and reports the guy above was bedecked with the names of every single T stop.

Another float.

BehindDarkEyes took a lot of photos (including one of a protester). So did Boston Steamer, Dan Bruno, ChaosReins and Rachel Gogan. Somebody snapped Mike Mennonno's photo.

By now, everyone's heard that Governor Patrick's daughter is a n out and proud lesbian. Good (or planned?) timing with the Boston Pride festivities this weekend. There's a full article on Towleroad, one of my favorite bloggers out there.

Boston Guerrilla Queer Bar will "take over" a Faneuil Hall bar this Friday. No, of course, they don't announce which one beforehand (you need to sign up for the mailing list to get some e-mail the morning of the event):

The idea is to turn an unsuspecting straight bar into a gay bar for one night. Call it guerrilla bar fare.

A strain of MRSA bacteria that first surfaced among gay men in San Francisco is now turning up in gays in Boston, likely due to travel between the two cities, according to a study published yesterday.

The study on the Staphylococcus aureus strain known as US300 is based on samples taken at hospitals in San Francisco and at Fenway Community Health, where 126 men were found with it.

Robert David Sullivan recently bemoaned the loss of gay bars in Boston. Drinkboston.com counters with an interview with Josh Gerber, co-founder of Boston Guerrilla Queer Bar Boston, a group that gathers once a month at a different "straight" bar to mix things up a bit:

When Macy's pulled the Pride mannequins from its Downtown Crossing store, Sandouri Dean Bey wrote the store to cancel his charge account in protest. He's just gotten a letter from Macy's that basically says homophobes are people, too:

... Unfortunately, while many people share your views about the content of the window display, many others do not. They too, are our customers. I hope you can appreciate our position on this subject, even though it may differ from your own. ...
